Come visit us at the store and bring the kids for a special keiki story time featuring the award winning book Plenty Saimin. Author Feng Feng Hutchins will be in the children's section at 11:00am to read this wonderful local story about sharing and will also be available to sign books afterwards.

Stop by our table and pick up a free bookmark and coloring pages for the kids, or check out HawaiiReads.com as they live blog and tweet a new keiki book review every hour, right from the store!
For the adults, at 1:00pm there will also be a special reading and book signing for the Kalaupapa memoir My Name is Makia. Author Makia Malo and KITV's Pamela Young will be in the store to cover this literary event. For more info on this book and event, visit the Watermark Publishing blog.
Help First Book-Oahu provide new books to organizations and schools that support underprivileged children in the community. Come and buy a book (might I recommend Plenty Saimin) or most anything else in the store and use our Bookfair ID to provide a much-needed donation to our cause! Every dollar helps us improve literacy and change lives by ensuring that every child has access to their own books. Please print the Bookfair vouchers shown below before you go to the store. For a printable PDF version of the vouchers, click here.
Even if you can't come to the store, you can still support us by purchasing online. Visit BN.com/bookfairs from September 29, 2012 until October 5, 2012 and enter our Bookfair ID 10886000 at checkout. By doing so you will be helping give the power of literacy to local keiki who otherwise couldn't afford their own books. Mahalo!
